OBJECTIVES

Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.  Performs work which involves conventional engineering practices, but may involve a variety of complex features.  Requires general knowledge of precedents in specialty areas and familiarity with basic principles and practices in related specialties

JOB PURPOSE

Would be responsible for hands-on duties, general maintenance, clearing faults, testing cables etc.

Smooth running of the IPP model

 

 

 
  • Managing, monitoring the performance of and working as part of a team of engineers and contractors
  • Undertake site surveys
  • Manage resources
  • Provide technical support
  • RMU Operations
  • Transformer maintenance
  • Locate and clear faults
  • Perform fault resistant test on underground and overhead cables

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Educational Qualifications &

Functional / Technical Skills
  •  OND in Electrical Engineering OR related technical training
  • Hands-on experience
Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)
  • Experience with HV/MV electrical infrastructure (substations/switchyards, distribution systems, transmission lines, transformers.)
  • 15-20 years of experience
  • High abilities in developing and evaluating complex engineering projects
Other requirements (Behavioral etc.)
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects.
  • Verbal and written communications skills.
  • Complex problem-solving skills and a methodical mind.
  • Critical thinking.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to develop and implement systems, as well as troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems
  • Good judgment
  • Time management and an ability to prioritize and plan work effectively
